Matthew Peterson received his M.D. from the University of Utah in 1981. His residency training in obstetrics and gynecology was accomplished at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He stayed on as a faculty member for two years and then completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Miami in Florida.
